In October 2021, at the scene of Beijing City Sub-center Library project, the first oversized curtain wall which used Jinjing ultra clear glass & processed by North Glass was officially installed ,the project officially entered the curtain wall glass construction stage.
Taking ginkgo leaves as the design concept, each tree-shaped column is composed of laminated glass with 7 layers 15mm ultra clear glass, totally 276 pieces jumbo size glass are used. The building is like an open “forest umbrella”, implying the inheritance of local culture and knowledge; at the same time, the glass facade creates an excellent reading condition with natural temperature, light, and space, attracts readers into a warm and peaceful space.

In order to ensure its successful, the project team prepared plan, organized experts to demonstrate and deduced the construction process, strictly implemented various control measures during the construction process, and finally successfully completed the hoisting of the first jumbo size glass. The Beijing City Sub-Center Library project is scheduled to be completed and completion acceptance at the end of December 2022. The extra-high, extra-wide and wide-span glass curtain wall is transparent and will surely become a new landmark in Beijing.
